It is all about my Trip To Auli in search of live snowfall. Auli is around 260 km drive from Rishikesh, it is located at the Chamoli district of Uttrakhand. It is not as famous as Gulmarg in Kashmir but it is also beautifully covered with apple orchards and pine trees. Auli is the prime location to see the snow-capped peaks of Nanda Devi, Trishul peak, Hathi peak, Mana Parvat, and Kamat Kamet. This is a famous destination for winter sports as it is completely covered with snow in winter. It is less crowded when compared to touristic hubs like Mussoorie and Nainital. So you can have some peaceful days in Auli. An instagrammable destination- It is somewhat difficult fo...

Since the last two years, I have been coming here more often like once in 2-3 months and let me tell you, this place always gives me peace and tranquillity, and it is so beautiful that every time I come over here, I fall in love with this place all over again. Clear and pure air, green mountains on all the sides, the flowing Ganga River, meditation and yoga classes in every Ashram, you can see different Indian cultures on the bank of The Ganga River. Today there is heavy commercialization in My Home Rishikesh but for me, it is the same beautiful place as it was 24 years ago.I had been thinking about the setup for a long time and I thoug...

Manali Tour on New Year Eve

- posted by The Travel Drive

Manali on New Year Eve:On last weekend of December, I traveled to Manali.  I faced too much traffic jam, diversions and heavy air pollution on my way probably because of the New Year. I had a home stay near Nehru Kund located on Rohtang road and it was nice and less crowded. On the night of 31st most of tourists who had left for Rohtang pass in the morning were unable to reach back to their hotels because of the heavy traffic jam.  I was looking out of my room window and could see the long queue of vehicles. Most of tourists parked their cars on roadside and started dancing, singing along with music on high volume, that was how most of tourist celebrated their last night of the year....
